IM SO SORRY FOR HOW LONG THIS TOOK!!! *begs* Please forgive me....it didn't want to get written AT all. :( I must have spent AGES trying to work it out. But it suddenly decided to be nice to me. I hope it's worth the wait.

Title: Stuck In The Middle

Warnings: Violence and blood to a certain extent, AU, Vampires, Werewolves, Character Death. 
Summary: Hankyung is a transfer student in Korea for his final year of High School, after his roommate Siwon introduces him to his friends, and he befriends people of his own, he soon finds himself stuck in the middle of a conflict between two races that have been at each others throats for centuries.

Hankyung felt his stomach clench painfully as he watched Leeteuk convulse in Siwon's arms, his skin pale, soft looks tainted by the pain etched into his face, blood pulsing out across the Vampire's hand as he held it tightly against the wound in an attempt to stem the flow. Henry's small wolf form alternating between whimpering, crying out for him Umma, and growling aggressively as Hankyung's arms remained curled around his middle.

“I-Is he going to be alright?” Hankyung breathed, tightening his grip around Henry's middle as the boy wolf's struggles increased, watching terrified as Siwon's normal in control persona seemed to slowly spiral out of existence into wide eyed choking fear. He didn't question the name Siwon had called Leeteuk by, he knew it wasn't the right time, and the younger male probably hadn't realised what he'd said, yet he couldn't help but wonder about the link the two male's had that put Siwon in such an unravelled state.

“I-I don't know.” Siwon replied, hands trembling as he fought to keep Leeteuk upright as well as keep the pressure maintained across the wound. “Shit. It's not working.” at the curse, Hankyung felt his eyes widen, before the lead panic in his stomach doubled at his statement, only just catching on to the fact the Vampire had been trying to heal him, having been too preoccupied with keeping Henry out of Siwon's way.

“What can we do?” Hankyung questioned, itching to run to his friend's side yet not wanting to risk anything happening to the unguarded cub, ignoring the fact that being human there was little he could do anyway.

“He needs professional medical care, he needs taking back to his headquarters, but we can't step foot anywhere near them, they are aggressive about outsiders on their territory at the best of times, yet news of this will quickly get back to their leaders, we'd probably be killed on sight.” Siwon replied, carefully lowering Leeteuk to the floor, covering the shivering male with his zip up hoody, Hankyung paling slightly at the mass of blood now soaked into Siwon's front.

“How can we get him there?” Hankyung queried, watching as Siwon glanced at the sky and cursed once again. “What is it?”

“The sun's got another 10 minutes before it rises, then the others have got to get back here...if they are still alive. He's not going to last that long.” Siwon hissed, worried eyes lifting to peer at Hankyung, before the Chinese male felt his stomach plummet as Siwon's eyes suddenly widened in horror. “Hyung! Move!”

Before Hankyung had even moved one step, a large form barrelled into his spine sending him flying, images of when Siwon's uncle had grabbed him whirring around his head once again until a loud growl at his ear caused him to freeze, he could smell blood, stale droplets dripping down against his skin causing him to grimace as he felt claws sink into his shoulder blades. Henry's wolf form squirmed even more as he remained trapped against Hankyung's side, the Chinese male screaming as set of spiked teeth clamped around his arm and pulled him backwards, his body being thrown unceremoniously across the area to land heavily against the floor, head smacking painfully against the earth. He groaned as he rolled onto his side, before he felt his eyes widen in panic as he found a fully grown Alpha male Werewolf standing over him, blood glistening at his muzzle, claws and fur tainted a deep red as he snarled down at him.

“K-Kangin-ah.” Hankyung muttered, knowing full well the male inside couldn't hear him and that the wolf over him was merely responding to the fact someone unknown had, had a hold of his cub.

Yet as Kangin snarled and stepped closer, Hankyung shrank back in fear, wincing as he tried to pull his aching body across the floor, only to turn his attention back to the wolf, blinking in shock as he found Siwon stood over the wolf, one hand clamped over his muzzle, the other arm wrapped tightly around it's neck, face dark, fangs visible over his bottom lip as his eyes flashed blue, something Hankyung hadn't seen properly since the night Siwon had bitten him.

“Calm it.” Siwon hissed, voice dangerously low and almost a growl in its own right, quickly pulling the wolf upwards and backwards as Kangin reared and attempted to get away from the Vampire's grasp, coming dangerously close to stamping down on Hankyung's chest. Yet all Kangin seemed to do was get more and more agitated especially as his nose caught scent of Leeteuk's blood across the vampire's hands, Siwon yelling in shock as Kangin almost roared against his fingers and threw him backwards.

“Siwon-ah!” Hankyung screamed, trying and failing to scrabble to his feet as the vampire collided sharply with the base of a tree, his own attempts at moving drawing to a halt as Kangin's large paws  slammed against his chest, knocking him flat as the wolf snarled down at him, the small yaps from Henry as he nudged incessantly at Leeteuk's shivering form doing little to deter Kangin. Yet as the wolf leant down towards him, teeth bared as he aimed for his throat, Hankyung froze as he realised what Kangin was going to do.

Yet before he could reach throat, Siwon dived into the wolf's side knocking him off and away, the pair rolling, Kangin diving back jaws snapping, Siwon only just able to dodge out of the way before the two leaders began to scrap. Hankyung watching transfixed for a moment as Siwon always managed to remain out of range of the teeth and claws yet still prevent Kangin from moving him backwards before his ears picked up the soft whimpers of Henry, his attention being drawn towards the scarily pale male who was now shuddering violently, one hand shakily resting atop the wolf form of Henry's head.

Hearing a loud yell from behind him, Hankyung turned from where he'd crawled over next to Leeteuk, eyes widening as he found Siwon sprawled across the ground, blood slowly seeping out and dripping down from his arm into the dust as Kangin tightening his jaws once more around his forearm. The vampire was a mess, his face and arms scratched to pieces despite his earlier ability to remain at a distance, the bite mark in his forearm as he threw Kangin off seemed dangerously deep and his previously injured leg seemed unable to hold his weight properly.

“Hyung. Hold on.” Hankyung breathed turning his attention back to the bleeding wolf as Siwon nodded to say he was alright, head shooting upwards to Henry as the small wolf fell to the floor, the Chinese male confused until he spotted the first rays of sunlight creeping over the horizon turning the deep electric blues of the night into a pale mash of oranges, pinks and reds.

Behind him he could hear Siwon cursing as Kangin roared as his own change took over, Hankyung's hands clamping over his ears as his eardrums thudded in protest at the loud snaps of the two wolves skeletons attempted to fill his ears, jumping in shock as Siwon suddenly appeared beside him, his own hands pressing over his and his ears, using them as a leverage to turn the Chinese male's face away so he couldn't see the transformation. The vampire had seen it many a time and it was something he was quite used to seeing, yet not something he would allow Hankyung to see.

“U-Umma?” Henry whined a few minutes later as he surfaced once again human, his eyes wide and red rimmed from crying in pain. “UMMA!” he squeaked sitting up, ignoring the ache in his body as he clung to Leeteuk's arm.

“What the fuck have you done?!” Kangin snarled as he got to his feet rushing over to drop down at Leeteuk's side, a surprisingly emotional expression crossing his face. Now he was human, Hankyung able to see where the blood on his fur had been from as he spotted the criss cross of slashes across the male's body.

“I didn't do anything.” Siwon snapped back, Hankyung only just realising Kangin thought Siwon had hurt Leeteuk. “He collapsed on me that way. I was trying to help him till you turned up and nearly killed Hankyung Hyung.”

Kangin glared disbelievingly across at Siwon for a moment, before he turned a small apologetic look at the Chinese male, who promptly waved it away and motioned for him to look after Leeteuk. Before anyone else could say anything, Kangin had gotten to his feet, Leeteuk now swept up into his arms as he motioned for Henry to follow along with him before he began to walk off, Hankyung concerned as he spotted the tall male limping slightly, blinking as Kangin paused and turned back to glare once more again at Siwon.

“I swear, if I find out you were involved with this, or you made him worse, I will kill you.” He spat before he turned and took off into the trees, Hankyung blinking, only to find the three had vanished.

“Will Leeteuk Hyung be alright?” Hankyung queried as Siwon all but collapsed beside him, gingerly tugging at his shirt sleeve to try and get at his wound in his arm.

“I don't know.” Siwon sighed, pausing to gaze solemnly at Hankyung before he ripped his sleeve in half, the elder male gasping in shock at the puncture marks in the Vampire's arm.

“Can you heal it?” Hankyung questioned, eyes widening in shock as Siwon shrugged.

“I don't know, werewolf bites are dangerously infective to Vampires. Even more so to a pure blood. I'm going to have to go back to the main house and get Jaejoong-sshi to heal it.” Siwon explained, opening his mouth to say something else as Hankyung looked positively horrified at his words, before it was cut off as he spotted three bodies limping their way. “Hankyung Hyung, it's the others.”

“What?!” Hankyung exclaimed before he nearly felt his chest swell with relief as he spotted three familiar forms heading their way, the smile across his face soon dripping away as he took in the state they were in. Sungmin was being held up by both Shindong and ZhouMi, his slender body looking extremely battered as his head lolled against his chest, hair stained a deep burgundy from an excessive amount of blood, feet dragging lifelessly across the floor almost as if he were a rag doll. ZhouMi seemed to be the better off of the three, his only noticeable mark being a deep gash against his temple, Shindong however was limply heavily, a deep red stain blossoming across the side of his shirt as he walked, face set in grim determination as he attempted to drag Sungmin back to relative safety. “What happened to you three?!” Hankyung questioned as the three reached their level, Hankyung quickly darting forward to help carry Sungmin as Shindong lowered him as his side played up.

“I don't remember much....” ZhouMi murmured, wincing at the brightness of the sun against his sensitive eyes. “I only remember my wolf mind merging with my normal mind as he sensed danger, then the next thing I knew I was running with Sungmin Hyung trying to get away from these vampires who were chasing after us firing at us.”

“Vampires?” Siwon stated eyes wide as ZhouMi turned to look at him, frowning at the large puncture wounds in the vampire's arm.

“Yeah, vampires. They shot at Kangin Hyung, Leeteuk Hyung made us all run away and we ended up getting split up, I don't remember much otherwise, apart from when Sungmin got dived on and injected with something and he's been like this ever since.” ZhouMi replied, frowning once more as Siwon's eyes widened once again, before the vampire quickly moved forward, only pausing as Shindong growled warningly at him.

“Injected him?!” Siwon exclaimed before he stepped cautiously closer. “If it's what I think it is, you'll need to get him healed.”

“How will you do that?” Shindong queried narrowing his eyes accusingly causing Hankyung to frown at the fact Siwon's clear offer of help was taken with suspicion, the rift he'd heard about seeming ever more clear with each passing minute.

“It won't hurt him.” Siwon stated, only moving forward as ZhouMi tapped Shindong and nodded. Moving closer, Siwon carefully lifted Sungmin's head up and carefully peeled his eyelid back, staring for a moment before gently lowering his head once more, fingers curling around the arm Hankyung was supporting for a few moments, moving back when his fingertips were stained with the wolves blood, frowning as he spotted small yellow flecks in the male's blood, bringing them gingerly to his face, sniffing slightly before he recoiled, face scrunching as he cursed and quickly wiped his fingers against his jeans leg.

“What is it?” Hankyung questioned, the nerves setting in as Siwon sighed heavily, the two other conscious wolves staring at the Vampire in panic.

“Silver Iodide.” Siwon stated running his fingers through his hair before continuing as he spotted the blank faces staring at him. “It's a silver compound powder, Vampires use it normally when they kidnap werewolves. It slows the blood flow, clots it up, causing the skin to pale, the entire system to weaken, the organs and muscles to slow and malfunction almost solidify, until the wolf is either in extreme pain they'll tell the vampire who'd kidnapped them anything, or they just...slowly clot from the inside out and die.”

“What?!?! Is there anything we can do?!?!” Shindong exclaimed, forgetting the wound in his side for a moment as he moved to grab at Sungmin.

“No....Although I have a reversal silver compound in my room, it reacts with the blood like an antiseptic and it undoes the damage from the Silver Iodide, its normally only administered in drops to prolong the wolf's suffering but if the same amount is administered as the Iodide compound it can reverse it completely.” Siwon explained, holding his hand up in a silent request for them to wait for a moment before he disappeared into thin air.

“Why is he being so...helpful?” Shindong queried causing Hankyung to frown at him. “He's never normally been this helpful. He would have happily left us before.”

“No he wouldn't.” ZhouMi stated. “He's always seemed to me to be remotely neutral when it comes to our arguments at school. Even in our first year when Princess Bitch was starting on us every time we walked past them, he used to tell him to shut up and leave us alone.”

“Here.” Siwon stated suddenly appearing once again, smiling lightly as he held up the small bottle of liquid. “The compound is dissolved in the liquid, he needs to drink it.” When ZhouMi nodded once again, Siwon stepped forward and lifted Sungmin's head once more, carefully pulling his lower jaw open and slowly pouring the liquid down the wolf's throat. “Now...he needs to rest, he'll be out of it for a while. It'd be best if you took him to his room and left him, don't try to wake him, let the compound work, it will work, and he'll wake up when its done.”

“Umm....Thanks.” Shindong replied awkwardly, nodding as Siwon waved his words away before he moved to walk off towards their dorm, ZhouMi easily taking Sungmin from Hankyung and lifting him up into his arms, heading off towards the dormitory, hoping that it was still early enough to escape the rest of the students.

“Shit.” Kyuhyun hissed as he dropped to the floor just in time for a knife to whiz past his ear and embed itself in the wall above his head. It had been two days since Siwon had been to visit him and had told him about the attack on the wolf pack by the renegade Vampires. Yet he hadn't expected the attack to be this sudden, or so vast.

Thankful he'd managed to keep his weapons on his at all times, Kyuhyun got to his feet, swaying slightly as his still remotely sore head thudded in protest before he leapt from the room, flitting along the corridor dodging in and out of ammunition and wolfs alike, snarling as one took a swipe at his head, hating the fact they were just as fast in their human form. As one managed to wrap a hand around his forearm, Kyuhyun smirked before he activated his weapons, revelling in the shriek as his elbow blades shot out of the guards on his arms and sliced through the wolf's fingers.

“Ryeowook Hyung?!” Kyuhyun yelled as he reached the hospital bay, having been dismissed back to his old room the day before, having been deemed well enough not to need constant attention, frowning as he found the elder's bed empty, knowing full well that the vampire wasn't well enough to move properly yet.

“Kyu-yah.” At the small call of his voice, Kyuhyun turned to find Ryeowook crouched beside the desk the watch nurse normally sat at, his face pale as his chest protested at his curled up position, lungs still not properly healed.

“Ryeowook Hyung! Why are you sat like that!? You're ribs, they aren't healed properly, you'll puncture your lung again.” Kyuhyun stated as he crouched beside the pure blood, before he pulled the bow and quiver of arrows off his back and held them out to the elder male. “I thought you might need these.”

“Thanks Kyu-yah.” Ryeowook smiled before coughing violently, growling in annoyance at the small spatter of blood he brought up.

“Come on, we need to get out of here.” Kyuhyun stated getting to his feet, trying to ignore the sounds of wolfs and vampires fighting beyond the doors, the silver laced doorway the only thing preventing the wolves from entering the hospital bay. “Are you well enough to transport yourself to school?”

“I can't leave you.” Ryeowook exclaimed, doubling over clutching his chest as his high pitched vocals pained his chest.

“You can and you will, if it gets too bad I can easily call for Siwon Hyung.” Kyuhyun returned before he went to move towards the door. “Go, if you go, you can let Siwon Hyung know and then he can rush in and save the day like always.”

“O-Okay.” Ryeowook sighed before he slipped the quiver over his shoulder and held the bow by his side. “I can't in here though, the silver won't let me, I'll need to go outside.”

“Alright, stay with me.” Kyuhyun stated before he moved out the room, elbow blades sliding back out into place with a small 'shink' spinning a moment later, arm lashing out causing the blade to slice into a wolf's neck as it dived at him. “Go!”

At the shouted word, Kyuhyun winced as the rampaging wolves turned their attention towards him, the small squeak of pain behind him before it was cut off informing him Ryeowook had managed to disappear successfully, the youngest smirking before he crouched down prepared for battle. With one quick push forwards, Kyuhyun started to manoeuvre his way through the throng of human forms, hissing as the odd one managed to hit him before he broke free and ran off towards the main hall, rather thankful in a warped way that most of the vampires had left to go to personal family homes, otherwise they could have had a massacre on their hands.

“Jaejoong-sshi! Changmin-sshi!” Kyuhyun exclaimed as he slid into the Elders conference room, the two other Elders not present, the eldest and youngest currently debating about something until Kyuhyun had arrived.

“Kyu-yah! I was just about to come get you.” Changmin stated as he rushed down the stairs, pulling the other male back with him up the stairs. “You need to get back to school. You'll be safer there. We need to get Wookie-yah too.”

“I've already made sure Ryeowook Hyung got sent back to school. He should be there by now, he should also have alerted Siwon Hyung.” Kyuhyun stated, before blinking as he found the two elders smiling at him.

“He taught you well.” Jaejoong smiled before quickly motioning Kyuhyun forward. “Come on, we'll take you back to school.”Kyuhyun however just smiled, he didn't need to ask who they were talking about, before he frowned as he realised the elders were taking him away from the fight.

“Why can't I stay and fight?!” he exclaimed not moving any closer as Changmin and Jaejoong peered at him curiously.

“Because you are not well enough, I would not have a problem otherwise...however, I don't want to risk it.” Changmin started before pausing and turning to Jaejoong. “Actually, Hyung you take him. I need to find Yunho Hyung and Yoochun Hyung, they may need a hand with the fighting.” he added holding his hand out flat, palm up, the youngest watching awed as a bright orb appeared in the males hand before it morphed into a long staff, double ended with two large crescent moon shaped blades.

“Alright, I will do.” Jaejoong stated, arm curling round Kyuhyun's shoulder before the youngest felt something jolt him as if he were taking off from the ground, despite the fact he hadn't moved. “Ready Kyuhyun-ah?”

“Yes.” Kyuhyun stated, watching as Changmin had moved off towards the doorway, pausing to turn on his heel and wave, Kyuhyun's eyes widening in panic as he spotted the wolf in human form that leapt into the room behind the elder, his mouth opening to call out a warning before it was cut off as the world turned black as they transported, his stomach jolting as Jaejoong clutched at his shoulders, the last thing he'd seen before he moved being the wolf swinging his weapon down towards Changmin's spine, the elder still smiling in their direction.

On another note...as an extra treat....I decided to Draw Leeteuk and his (Main) cubs. Since I picture Shindong as more of a.....weird uncle figure more then a cub. So....I give you Leeteuk and his Pups....I hope you like it. (In case you didn't see the link to it on Miracle)

Leeteuk is in the middle, with Henry in his arms, Sungmin behind him, ZhouMi by his side and Eunhyuk asleep on his leg.....incase you couldn't tell
